Nissan is ready to announce the newest hybrid car on the market, the 2007 Altima Hybrid. The Nissan Altima hybrid will bring the newest hybrid technology to the market- the continually variable transmission or CVT. This technology reduces fuel consumption and emissions.This will be Nissan's first hybrid car that will be available to the marketplace. Nissan has shown their commitment to protecting the environment, and this new hybrid car will continue the trend.

Nissan's new hybrid car was certified in California to meet emissions requirements. The Nissan Altima hybrid will be available in New Jersey, Vermont, California, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Nissan has targeted these states because they are in the top states with very strong hybrid car markets.
