For those technically-minded of you who have a way with making things and building devices, Ecofriend has a post explaining how to make a vertical-axis wind turbine for only $300, which you will get back by saving in electricity bills besides lowering the environmental impact of your home.
It looks quite fun to make but as someone who suffers from phobia of anything involving tools, I’ll point the way directly to the post explaining how to build the wind turbine. Come on, give it a go for me.
