Japan to reintroduce domestic solar energy subsidies

by apasolini on December 24, 2008

Japan is planning to reintroduce subsidies for domestic solar panel equipment from January 2009, according to a Reuters report based on a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry statement made yesterday. Japan appears at number five in the greenhouse gas country ranking. The Ministry said it would offer nearly $100 million in the first quarter of 2009 and probably more during the course of the following fiscal year.

This is good news considering the importance the country’s efforts within the global context of climate change fighting. And this is it for today as now I’d like to wish all those who read and visit Energy Refuge,

HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A GREAT 2009!
