Planet Green: How Green is making it big time

I was surfing TV channels and saw this station: Planet Green from the Discovery Channel.

I watched a show about one household reducing its footprint and saw some ads for other shows. There were some problems with what I saw: They were pushing a hybrid SUV for a family of four. The family would not think of abandoning the SUV for a simple four door sedan.

The shows seem to have the usual Discovery channel production values: knowledgeable women and goofy male hosts, lots of interactions with “regular people,” and an occasional documentary-type detailed story. I saw a bit about getting a worm-based compost apparatus.
