This just fits what I needed to use with all the wires from my two DVD's, LCD TV, Cable box, radio, etc. I was concerned about over loading my one outlet and all a powersurge which good damge expensive electronics, yet I wanted something relatively small and compact. This was it.

I live in an old apartment building, and I have a tiny kitchen with only one outlet! Yes, it's true. So, since I have a toaster, a coffee maker, other appliances that required electricity, I was switching plugs in and out for what seemed like forever. Finally I purchased this six plug outlet, and it has made my life a little less complicated. Anything that can do that and do its job gets 5 stars from me.
