MIPO toner cartridge May 31, 2008 Cazamatic (Maryland) I bought this cartridige for my ancient HP Laserjet 4P in March of 2008. Installation went without a hitch and I have been 100% satisfied with it and at such a great price. I WILL reorder with MIPO again.
Good reengineered toner cartridge November 9, 2007 avantgardejazz (East Coast) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This MIPO toner cartridge for a HP LaserJet appears to be a reverse engineered clone of the original HP toner cartridge that is made in China (without any apparent lead or other poisons that seem to come with so many other China manufactured products these days). It has minor problems in the instructions due to a not so perfect translation of Chinese to English, but anyone who has installed one of these cartridges in the past will know the routine of what you have to do (removal of stip of paper/plastic inside the cartridge before installation & shaking toner cartridge, etc.). It seems like they have come close on cloning the the actual toner, but it is not a perfect match. When printing on specialty paper, the toner with this cartridge tends not to adhere to the paper as well as the original HP toner and this MIPO toner can create minor splotches on the specialty paper that the HP toner never ever did. With those small flaws, it is the value proposition of an apparent reverse engineered toner cartridge that is around 60% less in cost than the original HP equivalent toner cartridge that makes this MIPO cartridge attractive. It is up to HP to determine if companies like MIPO have the legal right to apparently reverse engineer their product and sell it in the USA. There was no description of apparent reverse engineering or manufacturing in China in the product description before buying the product. If there was, I would not have purchased it on ethical grounds.
Working well so far October 3, 2007 T.E.S. (USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Our reliable Laserjet 4L was running out of toner and I hadn't realized how much HP toner cost. I figured I'd try something cheaper like MIPO and see if it worked. So far I've printed out ~300 pages and there hasn't been any trouble.
