Product Description
The Solar Bird Bath Water Fountain is our most popular water fountain for many reasons. It creates a relaxing atmosphere in your garden, patio or balcony. Water flows around the basin and recycles in the hidden reservoir. The Solar Bird Bath Water Fountain operates in direct sunlight, utilizing a solar panel to power a low voltage water pump. This requires no wiring; simply install and enjoy. As it uses the power of the sun, there are no operating costs. The two year warranty guarantees that you will have long-lasting quality.

2 out of 5 stars Gone   September 21, 2008
Susanne Nulton (Albuquerque, NM)
It was nice when it was new. The base screws in and is not steady, the solar pump feature only worked when the sun was directly overhead (and we live in the southwest). After one year, this plastic bird bath became nearly impossible to keep clean. It's a nice idea, it just has a few design flaws.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful fountain   April 26, 2008
William Underwood (Kansas)
This fountain is terrific! The birds just love it. It wasn't available on Amazon, so I ordered it from Simply Fountains (for $99). It is made from a heavy synthetic material that hasn't tipped over yet in high winds. We have the fountain placed in a part-sun part of the yard. It only runs when it is sunny, but that's even time to keep the water circulated and fairly clean (the dirt circulates to a receptacle below the solar plate). I've needed to change the water about every week. The fountain is very easy to put together, but the instructions that come in the box aren't very good. Simply Fountains had links to more helpful directions and to a slide show on how to put it together.

3 out of 5 stars Nice for 1 year   March 29, 2008

Set-up is relatively easy. Just be sure you get it in 100% direct sunlight and be patient the first time while the pump gets primed which may take a couple of minutes. Birds seem to enjoy it but I wonder if more or different birds would use it if it were in the shade. The fountain helps keep mosquitoes at bay which is why I like it.

Unfortunately, mine cracked after less than 1 year. The warranty is two years and the company is shipping a new stand and bath under warranty. So save that receipt!

5 out of 5 stars Birds love this birdbath   June 16, 2007

This birdbath was better than I expected for the low price. It was very easy to put together and as soon as water was poured in, the fountain started flowing. You need to clean the filter occasionally which is very easy to do. I gave it as a gift to my bird loving neighbor and we are both watching the birds take showers in it.
