I ordered three pairs of these steps when Amazon had a sale going on and out of the box, I thought they looked great. The stones have a nice heft to them and feel very solid - until you get to the light. The small LED is encased in a cheap plastic housing that rattles around within the small cut out section of the "slate".
This being a solar product, you would probably assume that the light is pretty dim. You would be correct - these will not light up a path, but rather create a small bubble of light around the step stone itself, and that's about it. Unfortunately you will only get that amount of light if the LED works. Half of the six stones I purchased did not even light up. I also noticed that the plastic lights are not sealed very well, as the lights soon had quite a bit of condensation within the plastic shell.
These stones were a neat idea which was executed badly.
