Each of the four lights features a solar cell on its cap. Use the lights in areas that receive at least eight hours of sunlight each day, which charges each light's two included batteries. Then, when the sun goes down, the lights automatically turn on, spreading a warm amber glow on walkways, gardens, steps, driveways, ponds, or streams. Setup is relatively simple: Just snap each light's pieces together, insert the reflectors, put in the batteries, and spike the lights into the soil. These have really nice amber affect rather than florescent looking solar lights I've seen. They last a long time two years +. I'm buying my second set for additional lighting.
