For added versatility, it can be used on both a 12-inch riser and a standard shepard's hook. These two lights come in a pewter-metal finish. A limited, 2-year warranty is provided with this product. About Malibu Solar Lights and Light Kits Solar lighting is the safest and easiest kind of outdoor lighting to install. It provides sufficient light for entrances, walkways, steps, or to indicate the location of dark obstacles. Each light fixture features a solar collector panel that converts sunlight into electrical energy. This energy is stored in rechargeable batteries used to illuminate the fixture at night. The batteries recharge in direct sunlight and should not have to be replaced for at least three years. Most solar products use LED (Light Emitting Diodes) as a light source because of their low power consumption and long life. LEDs are not replaceable, but their life expectancy typically exceeds 25 years, running 10 hours every night.

Nice lights! Batteries are weak!! August 28, 2008 J. Holland (Troy, Michigan United States) I do like these lights. They are very attractive and simple to set up and use.The only problem I have had is with the batteries. I have replaced two within the first month. Otherwise they are great. The lights are not very bright if that is what you are looking for. Fine for path lighting.
Excellent Solar Lights February 21, 2008 C. Messina (Central PA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have 12 of these lights that we purchsed 4 years ago and they still work great. They stay lite for throughout the night, and they remain bright. We had to change the batteries once, which is not expensive. They do tend to swing and may fall off in high winds but that have not broken. Highly reccomend these lights.
Pretty, but......... September 20, 2007 J. Weasner 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This pair was very attractive. I purchased them for use at the cemetery but I have some concern that they will be blown from the hook. I think I can replace the plastic cap on the end of the hook to prevent that from happening, though. On a windy day, they swing quite a lot. The bottom of one of the lights slightly bumps the curve of the hook and needed some adjustment. They will probably work fine in a garden setting. I am satisfied, but think the design could have been better.
Elegant and High-Quality September 8, 2006 Amazon Fan (Missouri, USA) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
Great lights and a great price to boot! These are very nice quality and dress up my yard very, very nicely. They're extremely simple to set up and are very durable. I've had some where the stakes are hard to get in the ground and the top part with the light has broken off the attached stake. That's not a problem here. The stakes go in the ground easily, although you might have to step on them if the ground is very dry. The light piece is not permanently attached to the stake, so there is no danger of it breaking off and being unusable -- if it happens to come off, you just screw it back on. Of course, there is also a carriage hook that allows you to simply lift the light off and put it back on as you please. The light output is great, too, much better than my old ones. I am absolutely delighted with these and would definitely recommend them.
