Product Description The ambiance and style of the Mediterranean with an Ewins market umbrella--a remarkable twin to those found dotting the coast of the Riviera. Its solidly-crafted brass trim and teak finished wood add elegance to any patio. A solid juniper wood pole operates via a simple double rope and pulley system, while the 8-rib design and heavy Terylene cover repel the suns harmful rays so you can safely and stylishly relax. This quality solid wood Market Umbrella is a staple for any fine patio or garden. Guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship.

You get what you pay for September 29, 2008 S. Oshea (Pittsburgh, PA) Within 4 months, the color of the umbrella faded and the pole is somehow bent. It is put away for the winter so it doesn't get exposed to sunlight 12 months a year. We still use it because I have not found another burgundy umbrella yet.
Cheap..but not good if you live in a windy area July 9, 2008 Henry M. Hobson I bought three umbrellas for my patio area around the pool and all three wooden umbrellas broke within 6 months. In all fairness though I live in a VERY windy area and have always bought the steel/metal ummbrellas but liked the look of wood so at this price thought I would buy 3 of them. Oh well back to metal.
Nice fabric, crappy pole June 16, 2008 F. Roske (Reno, NV) It's a shame that this company went only half way to create a good product. How much more would it have cost to make a pole that doesn't look like it's going to split apart with the next breeze??? The top part is so wobbly that you have no sense of security that it won't come crashing down on you. The mechanism to open the umbrella is quite simple requiring just a pin to hold it in place. Cost savings that I gladly accept. The fabric is very nice and has not noticeably faded during a whole summer in hot Nevada. Again, if it weren't for the inferior pole construction, this product would actually get 4 or even 5 stars.
OK - not great March 17, 2008 Eric D. Roberts You get what you pay for! Fabric faded first season, one of the arms broke so I had to tape it - but overall it's fine for the money I guess.
What did I expect for $24.99? February 11, 2008 Need Some Shade (San Jose, CA) I recently bought three (3) of these 9-foot market umbrellas and I thought it was an incredible deal. Unfortunately, I read the other nine reviews AFTER I placed my order. Everything about these umbrellas is CHEAP! The fabric is so thin that sunlight passes through it, the wood poles are so cheap that I fear they will break in the slightest breeze, and they are all missing the pins necessary to hold them open. I'm not even sure they are really 9-foot umbrellas - they look more like 7.5 feet. I know, I know - you get what you pay for but I honestly have never seen such cheap construction and low quality materials. I'll be lucky if they last just one season. Buy at your own risk!!! From what the other reviewers have said, I won't even attempt to return them.
