1 out of 5 stars Very disappointed in AMAZON   August 22, 2010

I bought the item on AMAZON on Wednesday 8/18 for 29.99. It was delivered on Friday, 8/20. Price dropped to 24.97 on Saturday 8/21. AMAZON refused to refund the difference citing their pricing policy. The AMAZON customer service rep. sounded like a robot. I am very disappointed in AMAZON's dysfunctional pricing policy.

I received this and it was damaged in transit. I contacted Amazon and I was sent a free shipping label for return. My replacement was received the next day! Even though it was a disappointment at first, I was very impressed at how the return was handled.

4 out of 5 stars Moonray Fairy with solar lights   July 25, 2010
Sally Sanjuan (seattle)
I've had this figure for about a month now sitting on my deck railing, and it works well -- lights shine yellow, not too brightly, turning on shortly after dusk. The flowers through which the light shines are each about 1.5" in diameter. I don't know how long they remain on as I've not checked it after midnite. Figure is slightly under 13", wingtip-wingtip 15", front to back at base 9". Very pretty, although the figure could have been more colorful so that looking at it during the day would be just as pleasing. I may just paint it slightly darker over existing colors so as to complement the whole effect. It was a good buy and I'm happy with it.

3 out of 5 stars Should have a remote solar collector   July 20, 2010

The Moonlight Fairy is a nice size, very attractive and is a nice addition to my garden. I would've given it 5 stars but the one complaint I have (and it's a big one) is that the solar collector/sensor is mounted on the rear of the base. This severely restricts your options as to placement if you want the lights to glow for more than a few minutes at night. Many other manufacturers are using a remote solar collector/sensor with a long cord so you can place your solar garden object where you want it and place the solar collector/sensor where it gets the best sunlight. I also have a solar turtle purchased at Lowes that has a remote solar collector/sensor and that unit glows for about 7 hrs. each night and it was cheaper. The Fairy has a dismal 30 minute light display where it's currently placed. If it had a simple 6 ft. cord to a remote collector (like the turtle) then it could be hours longer.
I would've paid more for the Fairy if it had the option of an external solar collector/sensor.
For those that have a free standing garden where the Fairy's position doesn't matter then you'll be satisfied with the almost 7 hr. light display.
