When in full sun it gives a nice soothing sound. Only drawback is you have to be sitting fairly close to it to appreciate. It also works, although being solar it does not have the flow of a fountain powered by electricity. In strong sunlight it is more than sufficiently active, but of course, if the sunlight dims or it becomes cloudy, the activity either diminishes or stops altogether. I have bought two of these, and during the 5-10 days I've owned them (two separate orders) there have been no issues.
