Buyer beware of the information not available to help you make an informed decision! This unit requires a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician to install. In addition, you must have 220 close enough to plug the unit into. It will be shipped direct from the manufacturer, Stiebel Elbron. If you are unable to install it, for whatever reason, you will be instructed by Stiebel to return it to the company you purchased it from. You will be instructed by the company you purchased it from to return it to Stiebel. Here is the kicker - you will be charged a 30% "restocking fee". That is 1/3 of the purchase price and is OUTRAGEOUS! AND, if you don't return it within 14 days of receipt, you will not get a refund. After calculating the price of the electrician, the plumber and getting 220 to the site - we figured it would cost over $1000 to install this product. Therefore we are out 30% of the purchase price plus the postage to return it. Please - don't let this happen to you! Read any and all reviews you can find and think this over carefully before you purchase what could turn out to be an extremely expensive nightmare.

I bought this product without knowing that it requires a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician to install it. The total cost of installation will be four times the cost of the unit, so I tried to return it. Stiebel Eltron told me to contact the vendor and the vendor said to contact Stiebel Eltron. Stiebel Eltron said they charge a 30% restocking fee.

I'm writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau. This is an outrage!
