| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The panel is designed to charge many devices such as rechargeable flash lights, lanterns, cell phones, GPS units, satellite phones, MP3 players, and portable games-anything that is capable of being charged through a standard CLA (cigarette lighter adapter). SUNLINQ with PowerFLEX technology is based on the revolutionary CIGS technology-a proven innovation used in space, military, and large grid installation. The panel is lightweight, flexible, weatherproof, and durable. Because the panel is fully weatherproofed, it is designed to function with many devices even in cloudy and rainy skies. The unique design allows the panel to be easily folded and stored in backpacks, glove boxes, purses, and cargo pant pockets. The panel can also be mounted on any curved surface, backpack, tent, or jacket. The panel is ideal for campers, hikers, or anyone who spends extended time outdoors.Electrical characteristics at standard test conditions (STC) includes: typical current at 11 V & 62°C: 0.433 amps; nominal operating voltage of 12V CLA (CLAs operate best between 11V and 14.5V); typical power at STC of 5.5 watts; maximum limit for open circuit voltage of 15.6 volts; and maximum power of 6.5 watts. Thermal characteristics include: power %/°C: -0.5 amps; voltage %/°C: -0.5 volts; and cell temperature operating range -40°F to 176°F / -40°C to 80°C.The dimensions folded are (LxWxD): 9"x5"x0.5" (229x127x12.7 mm), dimensions deployed are (LxWxD): 29"x9"x 0.03" (740.3x264x0.762 mm), and the weight is 0.45 lbs (0.2 kg). The five-piece accessory pack includes a female CLA, male CLA, SAE barrel connector plug, battery clamps, and 8-ft. extension cord with SAE connectors. GSE recommends the customer perform a light soaking for all PV modules. Foldable modules should usually be left in the sunlight for 4-8 hours before the panel has its full power.
