This last weekend, there was an Expo <\/a>at the Tucson Convention Center. It was reported <\/a>that there were over 500 people there in the first hour and a half.<\/p>\n

Even more importantly, all of the exposition booths were full. There are enough vendors out there including the usual suspects like utilities and solar and biodiesel companies and some not so usual suspects: Car dealerships, car repair shops, engineering firms and even a home builder. All of these were selling the eco side of their businesses.<\/p>\n

This means that there is money to be made in Alternative Energy. If there is money to be made, there will be competition. Quality and features will go up and price will go down. I love that. There were almost forty for profit companies with exhibits. And there were about another 20 non-profits like the Clean Cities Tucson Regional Coalition. And with 500 people showing up in the first 90 minutes and with authors discussing their books on alternative energy, I am sure even more showed up later. There is a need for alternative energy solutions.<\/p>\n

Look for an alternative energy expo in your neck of the woods. A quick Google search found expos in Iowa, Southern California, Portland and Virginia. See what technologies and help are being offered and start saving or even making some energy.<\/p>\n
