The company&#8217;s goal is to explore a new cost-saving avenue by exploring bio-based materials that can replace petroleum-based plastic solar cell components.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>BioSolar says its white BioBacksheet, made from brand new polymer materials, is required to register with UL and IEC in order to sell the product in North America and Europe. <\/p>\n<p>The company says panel manufacturers need this information to ensure that the individual components used in the panels as well as the fully assembled panels will be able to cope with harsh environmental demands and operate safely.<\/p>\n<p><!--adsense#300--><\/p>\n<p>BioSolar is currently in the process of coordinating with PV module manufacturers who intend to recertify their existing PV panels with BioBacksheet. <\/p>\n<p>The company believes that white BioBacksheet, which is a modified version of the original translucent BioBacksheet, will increase its customer base.
