When we talk about energy and alternative energy, a name that always comes to mind is Nikolas Tesla. His name comes up when we talk about free energy. He actually invented and patented a free energy device that uses solar energy. He is one of the few scientists or inventors who can be grouped together with Albert Einstein and Thomas A. Edison- named as part of the club of scientists who pretty much changed the world. Somehow, he is not very well known and even other inventors have taken credit for ideas he had developed before. \n<\/p>\n

Methods to produce, transmit, AC current.<\/li>\n
AC Motor.<\/li>\n
Invented the radio. Radio is just a modulated AC signal.<\/li>\n
Neon Lights.<\/li>\n
Remote Controlled Devices<\/li>\n
X Rays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Unfortunately this guy was not a very good marketer, and Thomas Alba Edison rejected his ideas about DC current. The competition- Westinghouse, bought his ideas and actually made possible the generation of AC and its transmission over long distances. He is not very well known to the point that Marconi is still known as the inventor of the radio, even though he wasn’t.<\/p>\n
Here is part of his biography.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Born in the village of Smiljan, in the province of Lika, Croatia\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthen part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1856. Tesla completed his elementary education in Croatia. He continued his schooling in the Polytechnic School in Graz and finished at University of Prague. He worked as an electrical engineer in Germany, Hungary and France before emigrating to the United States in 1884.<\/p>\n
Arriving in New York City with four cents in his pocket, Tesla found employment with Thomas Edison, in New Jersey. Differences in style between the two men soon lead to their separation. In 1885, George Westinghouse, founder of the Westinghouse Electric Company, bought patent rights to Tesla’s <\/a>of system alternating-current.<\/p>\n
