The perennial ice of the Arctic summer has reached new low levels. According to NASA it is 25% less than the levels of 2005. The area of perennial ice (ice that never melts even in summer) has steadily decreased by 10% per decade. However, in 2007 they reached a level 38% lower than the climatological average.<\/p>\n
