Its researchers have successfully developed a first-generation 12&#8243;x12&#8243; working prototype, which is a great increase on its predecessor of 4\u00e2\u20ac\u009dX4\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, announced last September. <\/p>\n<p>It is the first-ever working SolarWindowof such dimension, said <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newenergytechnologiesinc.com\" target=\"_blank\">New Energy<\/a>. It represents a 300% increase in size. In order to make the prototype, researchers used New Energy&#8217;s patent-pending process for &#8216;spraying&#8217; the electricity-generating coatings directly onto glass.  <\/p>\n<p><!--adsense#300--><\/p>\n<p>This method has the advantage of eliminating what the company calls \u00e2\u20ac\u0153expensive and often cumbersome\u00e2\u20ac\u009d high-temperature or high-vacuum production methods commonly used by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energyrefuge.com\">solar manufacturers<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>NewEnergy\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s CEO  John A.
