One of its most outstanding features is that it can last 12 hours, according to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getsolar.com\/blog\/introducing-the-led-solar-pebble\/16821\/?utm_source=feedburner&#038;utm_medium=email&#038;utm_campaign=Feed:+getsolar+(The+Solar+Homes+%26+Solar+Installers+Directory+Blog+|+Getsolar.com)\" target=\"_link\">Get Solar<\/a> blog post.<\/p>\n<p>Portability is also another key feature. The size of a pebble, it can easily moved from a lighting function at home to a battery function in the outdoors.<\/p>\n<p><!--adsense#300--><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/inhabitat.com\/tiny-solar-pebble-can-replace-kerosene-lamps-in-rural-africa\/\" target=\"_link\">Inhabitat<\/a>, the LED solar pebble is a few months away from being commercially released but it will cost about one tenth from what a family would spend on a kerosene lamp, which is highly toxic and lethal in some of the poorest parts of the world.
