The British broadsheet The Independent<\/em>, the most active mainstream British paper on the issue of global warming and climate change, today published an in-depth article about the document produced at the weekend in Valencia, Spain, during a meeting held by United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Called Policymakers’ Summary of the Synthesis Report, it is available to download from here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The newspaper says the 23-page document is “so important because it provides one concise, easily-readable but comprehensive text of facts, figures and diagrams \u00e2\u20ac\u201c in short all the information you need to understand and act on the threat of global warming, be you a politician, a businessman, an activist or a citizen (or for that matter, a doubter).”<\/p>\n

The document comes with stark predictions about the future but infuses them with a dose of optimism, which involves immediate action to mitigate the effects of global warming. On that matter, we add that renewable energy plays a vital role to help curb the damage human activity causes to the planet and other animal species.<\/p>\n
