Governor Jerry Brown has signed into law a mandate that requires utilities to purchase 33% of clean energy by 2020. It is the highest mandate of its kind in the United States.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.treehugger.com\" target=\"blank\">Tree Hugger<\/a>, the American Wind Energy Association reacted by saying that &#8220;public officials have decided to create thousands more jobs for Californians &#8211; jobs in manufacturing, construction, operations and maintenance, and other areas. This action is pro-business and pro-California.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--adsense#300--><\/p>\n<p>Energy Refuge welcomes the initiative.
