The central government, in partnership with state governments, will give incentives of up to Rs 12 per unit of the cost of generating the power, said the publication.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile California-based <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanosolar.com\/\">Nanosolar<\/a> recently announced that after five years of product development \u00e2\u20ac\u201c including aggressively pipelined science, research and development, manufacturing process development, product testing, manufacturing engineering and tool development, and factory construction \u00e2\u20ac\u201c they now have shipped first product and received their first check of product revenue.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Nanosolar&#8217;s product is the world&#8217;s first printed thin-film solar cell in a commercial panel product; the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s lowest-cost solar panel \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the company believes it will be the first solar manufacturer capable of profitably selling solar panels at as little as $.99\/Watt; the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s highest-current thin-film solar panel \u00e2\u20ac\u201c delivering five times the current of any other thin-film panel on the market today and thus simplifying system deployment.<\/p>\n<p>So we congratulate India for the political good will in relation to solar power (let&#8217;s hope it bears good results) and Nanosolar for its burgeoning success.
