The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has made available for free download several of its course textbooks as part of an initiative called Open Courseware. The courses cover several areas of interest, including the environment. Click <a href=\"http:\/\/ocw.mit.edu\/OcwWeb\/web\/courses\/new\/index.htm#CivilandEnvironmentalEngineering\">here<\/a> to see a list of the courses in the Civil and Environmental Engineering section and you may well find one that will match your interests.
