The Wall Street Journal wrote today in its energy blog<\/a> news and about Nitol Solar<\/a>, a Siberian company that “wants to become one of the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s biggest producers of high-purity silicon, the main ingredient of solar cells”.<\/p>\n

Still on the subject of solar power, but a bit closer to home. Literally. People with solar panels on their roofs are finding it easier to sell their properties<\/a>. God yeah, who wouldn’t prefer a house with those shiny, future-friendly panels? <\/p>\n

And it’s not just homes that look better with solar roof panels. Car factories do too, it seems. Greenbang<\/a> reports that Spanish carmaker Seat “has decided to deck out its factory in Matrorell with solar panels, which is reckons will save it 11,7000 tonnes of carbon emissions”. That’s good of them, let’s hope their customers also find ways to be kind to the environment when they use their cars.<\/p>\n
