Currently, buying panels may set you back $20,000, which not everyone can afford.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>California-based <a href=\"http:\/\/solarcity.com\">SolarCity<\/a>, based in Foster City, thought up a lease scheme to relieve the solar power financial pain. Under the company&#8217;s lease program, customers with a small home could pay as little as $70 a month for a 2.4 kilowatt system. And customers who sign up before July 31st pay nothing until then.
