That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s because clean energy such as solar is going mainstream.

According to an Associated Press report<\/a>, despite representing a small fraction of global electricity generation, solar power holds great promise as costs are falling rapidly. <\/p>\n

It said solar industry insiders believe solar power will be able to compete with fossil fuels, even with smaller solar subsidies reduced by two thirds in 2016.<\/p>\n

In the US alone there are 30,000 MW worth of solar projects awaiting to be approved; even if only half of that is eventually built, it would increase current capacity fivefold.<\/p>\n
