Via The Atlantic<\/figcaption><\/figure><a href=\"http:\/\/www.Solar3D.com\" target=\"_blank\">Solar3D<\/a>, a technology company developing a breakthrough 3-dimensional solar cell technology to maximize the conversion of sunlight into electricity, recently announced the results of a simulated test of its new solar cell design that projects the conversion efficiency to be in excess of 25%, which is well above the current market standard that hovers around 15%.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are very encouraged by these test results,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Jim Nelson, Solar3D CEO and President. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are now evaluating various methods of fabricating a prototype. If the results of our tests hold up in fabrication, as we expect, then our product\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s performance will be among the very highest conversion efficiencies achieved by silicon solar cells.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The next step for the company will be to find a manufacturing partner to help it bring its product to market.
