Germany responded swiftly and decided to pull the plug on its reactors. All over the world a new wave of anti-nuclear sentiment emerged.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nNow a consortium of more than ten Japanese companies will erect an experimental wind farm near the nuclear plant that went off. According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.renewableenergymagazine.com\" target=\"_blank\">Renewable Energy Magazine<\/a>, which cites the Fiki Press as the source of the news, the wind farm will comprise floating wind turbines and its capacity will be 12 MW.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is part of a wider government\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s plan to invest around US$125.4 to US$250.8   in floating offshore wind platforms in Japan. The country has big plans for wind power as it searches for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energyrefuge.com\" target=\"_blank\">alternative energy<\/a> to fill in the gap left by nuclear.
