And with the huge amount of sunlight that shines on the Middle-Eastern country, the potential for the country to become a solar powerhouse is significant.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jewishpress.com\" target=\"_blank\">Jewishpress.com<\/a> managing editor Yishai Fleisger visited <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aravapower.com\/?langid=2\" target=\"_blank\">Arava Power<\/a> in Kibbutz Ketura 31 miles north of Eilat in Southern Israel. He interviews Yosef Abramowitz, Arava Power\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s president. Arava Power has built Israel\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first commercial solar field, which is also the first <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energyrefuge.com\/solar-articles.htm\" target=\"_blank\">solar power <\/a>farm array in the Middle East. <\/p>\n<p>This solar field will soon be ramping up to 40 megawatts of power, which will be enough meet one third of the power needs of the city of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eilat\" target=\"_blank\">Eilat<\/a>.
