\"\"<\/a>The fifth edition of Intersolar North America has just come to an end. The event is designed for solar professionals to exchange information and develop business opportunities in the US solar market. The 2012 edition focused on a broad range of solar technologies, from solar modules and cell technology to balance of system components and energy storage, to name but a few.
\n<\/p>\n

Representatives from the global solar industry converged in San Francisco, California to see the latest trends and market movements shaping the industry. The organizers say that 18,000 visitors from 76 countries attended the event, and got a chance to know the products and services of 757 solar exhibitors, who occupied all three floors of Moscone West and Hall E of Moscone North. <\/p>\n

This year marked the inauguration of the Intersolar AWARD for solar energy<\/a> projects in North America. It honored three landmark projects in the United States and Canada that utilize advanced technology, incorporate aesthetic and architectural concepts, and exemplify outstanding services and products. The winners for 2012 were Enerworks Inc.’s Oxford Gardens Solar Project, Vanir Energy, LLC’s William G. White Jr., Family YMCA and ESA Renewables, LLC’s Martins Creek Elementary School Solar PV Project. All nine Intersolar AWARD nominees offered presentations on their projects on the Innovation Exchange stage. <\/p>\n
