\nThere are only 284 beluga whales in Cook Inlet, Alaska but that hasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t stopped the Apache Alaska Corporation from preparing to launch a deadly assault on the whales in their own homes. Apache Alaska plans to use deafening airgun explosions which can cause injury, hearing loss and death, as the video below shows.<\/p>\n

Please visit the National Resources Defense Council and sign a petition<\/a> asking the Obama administration to withdraw its approval for this violent method that could spell the end of this endangered species. <\/p>\n

This is another reason to support alternative energy<\/a>. Besides emissions, fossil fuel exploration is often harmful to animals, directly, as in this case, or indirectly.<\/p>\n
