Algae fuel is one of those and we have already written about this exciting development <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energyrefuge.com\/blog\/algae-biofuel\/\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Similar to plants, algae converts solar energy, CO2 and water to chemical energy via photosynthesis. The chemical energy is stored in algae as lipid oils and can be converted into biodiesel. But the story gets better when it comes to algae: the residual algae de-oiled cake is a high protein matter and can be used as organic fertilizer and nutritional supplements. Therefore it can fuel vehicles and human health. Sounds great.<\/p>\n<p>New Delhi, India is the place to be for all those interested in this intriguing technology as the city will be hosting the 2008 summit between September 17th and 19th.
