Potentially good news for the renewable energy sector, via Triple Pundit. According to the blog<\/a>, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Democrats in the House of Representatives have successfully led an effort to pass The Comprehensive American Energy Security & Consumer Protection Act <\/em>by a vote of 236 to 189. The bill provides federal incentives for the development of clean, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153renewable energy sources, expand domestic energy supply and promote greater energy efficiency and conservation.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the Huffington Post<\/a> welcomed the legislation and showered it with praise. It said it \u00e2\u20ac\u0153will build on the progress that we have already made and lower costs to consumers and American taxpayers, invest in renewable energy sources to create American jobs, expand domestic energy supply and create greater energy efficiency and conservation.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
