And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TjfONpsFvyM\">this video<\/a> starred by no one less than Jack Nicholson is a reminder that even during the disco era, in the wake of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1973_oil_crisis\">oil crisis of the 1970s<\/a>, the search for viable, clean fuels was already on. Which leads to the question: why has it taken, or better, <em>is it taking<\/em> so long for alternative fuels to become mainstream?
