A company called ECOmove is hoping to make a dent on the electric vehicle (EV) market in Denmark with a new model called QBEAK. The car is being pitched as a city, company, family car, and even a van. QBEAK is due out in the fourth quarter of 2012.

The main selling point of the QBEAK is its affordability, followed by the possibility of customizing it to the customer’s requirements. According to Morgens Lokke, Ecomove’s CEO, the company has equipped its flagship car with innovative features such as in-wheel motor units, a unique chassis platform and a communication system based on a smartphone.

Another attractive feature is the fast charging (4-10 minutes), besides flexibile interiors, sliding doors that make parking a lot easier and hotswap energy modules (one to six) and ready range extenders.
